Insight: Low and middle-class high school athletes often enter 2 and 4-year college unprepared. They get left behind because high schools don’t provide mindset training or information to navigate process. One senior admin in the West Richmond School district said, “Of 5 who go to college, 4 are home before the second semester.” Poor preparation redirects lives as few start college again.

Combine a lack of tools with challenging numbers on student resilience:

56% of students have difficulty connecting

76% students report anxiety

77% report feeling overwhelmed

*LA Times report

To combat the complexities, wealthy families have created a multi-million dollar college recruitment industry, creating unfair advantage, while middle class and working families fight for tools to win in college. We give training and tools at almost no-cost.

Promise: Serve every hungry student. Never charge more than $9 per month. DiamondU students are 90%+ baseball players. They learn growth mindset and have information delivered weekly for selecting, applying, preparing for and paying for college education. Currently 94% of students take part for free.

Desired response: “DiamondU was transformative for our family.  We had no idea how to prepare for college but DiamondU led us through the process step by step.  We feel like the DiamondU program gave us real world advantages in the college application process that helped our child get into the school that was the best fit for them.  Our child ended up really happy playing baseball at a college that appreciated them and was affordable for our family.
